Enoch Evans Solicitors have been an integral part of the Walsall community, providing solutions since 1884. Working to a company maxim of “excellence as standard”, the teams at Enoch Evans offer commercial and private services, including legal advice, dispute resolution and property. The appointments of Emma and Sukie were made as part of their ongoing expansion plan.
New Partner Emma Birch joined Enoch Evans in 1990. Since qualifying in 1992 she has specialised in Family Law and has been a member of Resolution & the Law Society’s Family Panel since 1999. Dealing in all family matters, Emma’s work includes pre and post-nuptial agreements, divorce and associated financial matters, children and co-habitation cases and Civil Partnerships. Over the years she has built up an excellent understanding of her mostly private client base and their needs.
“I am delighted to have been appointed a Partner,” commented Emma Birch on her new post. “I have a long history with Enoch Evans and look forward to working alongside my colleagues to help shape an exciting future for the firm.”
New Partner Sukie Shemar qualified in 2002 and joined Enoch Evans in 2003. Her area of expertise covers company share and asset sales and purchases, general commercial and advising on contracts, terms and conditions and franchises. Sukie plans to bring to the partnership new innovative ideas and a dynamic and professional service.
On her plans at Enoch Evans, Sukie Shemar commented. “I am very excited with our vision for the future. We are now seeing the evolution of more specialist teams within the commercial department, and will continue to maximize our strengths in areas such as corporate deals where we will provide city lawyer expertise outside of the city”. This year alone has seen the firm successfully complete more than 25 large corporate deals, and they are actively seeking new business contacts within the West Midlands to add to their portfolio.
Remarking on the appointments, Managing Partner David Evans said “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Emma and Sukie as new Partners. At Enoch Evans we take the appointment of new Partners very seriously and these appointments not only stand as testament to the considerable talents of both Emma and Sukie, but also the exciting changes that are afoot at Enoch Evans. In providing over 120 years of service to the community we have built a tried and trusted reputation of delivering excellence as standard to our clients. We are now building on that firm foundation to bring innovative and enhanced services to businesses across the region. Enoch Evans is evolving and we are very much looking forward to the future.”
