A quintessentially English Affair Herals New Appointment
2007 Archive

Walsall-based legal practice Enoch Evans celebrated St George’s Day and what would have been Shakespeare’s 443rd birthday with an innovatively themed event, enjoyed by clients and business contacts of the firm.

Enoch Evans Solicitors have been an integral part of the Walsall community for over 120 years, offering commercial and private services to clients and has continued to expand over the years.

Monday’s event also heralded the start of another significant chapter in the practice’s history – the appointment of David Evans as the new Managing Partner.

Clients and local business contacts were invited to The Crossing at St Paul’s in Walsall to enjoy a "Quintessentially English Event". On arrival, guests were entertained by the thrilling spectacle of performers mingling amongst the crowd playing instruments, juggling, stilt walking and fire breathing. A hearty repast of traditional English dishes was then served, accompanied by a selection of English wines, beers and ciders, and followed by a rousing performance by Oddsocks Productions of the ”the Bard's best bits" of Shakespeare’s play; The Tempest.

The highly successful evening drew to a close with a speech by Senior Partner Richard Meere, who took the opportunity to announce the new appointment of David Evans as Managing Partner of Enoch Evans.

David Evans joined Enoch Evans in 1985 and became a Partner in 1988. David has, for many years, been responsible for ensuring that the firm is well equipped with the most up-to-date computer systems and system information to ensure the smoothest facilitation of the provision of client services.

As a Commercial Lawyer, David has considerable experience in dealing with commercial matters, having dealt with numerous business takeovers, and other day-to-day commercial issues for corporate clients. More recently David has headed the commercial department and worked towards expanding and building a stronger team.

Commenting on the appointment, Richard Meere of Enoch Evans said, “The staff and Partners of Enoch Evans are looking forward to a very bright future for the firm following the appointment of David Evans as the new Managing Partner.”
