Following their recent charity cycle ride in August, Walsall based Law Firm Enoch Evans are proud to announce that they raised a grand total of £1250 for Acorns Children’s Hospice, Walsall. Enoch Evans first began providing legal services in 1884, 2009 sees the firm celebrating its 125th anniversary.
Chris Loach, Leighann Richards, Colin Wilkes and Hannah Brindley from Enoch Evans took part in this event which saw them cycle 125km of the canal network in and around the Walsall area. The team started from the Enoch Evans offices at 7:15am, and finished at 7:50pm, luckily the sun shone all day.
Acorns Children’s Hospice currently cares for over 500 children, who have life limiting or life threatening illnesses, and their families across the West Midlands and the Three Counties. Nazama Azmat, Community Fundraiser for Acorns said “We’re absolutely thrilled that local law firm Enoch Evans have raised such a fantastic amount from its cycle ride. Acorns relies on donations for the majority of our income, and we couldn’t survive without the kind help of our community”.
Leighann Richards, who organised the charity event, said “although it was extremely tough, it was very rewarding taking part in this challenging event for such a worthy cause, especially in the firm’s 125th year”.
